A NIGHT IN COSMOS: PERSEPOLIS VR

An immersive VR art experience recreating the night of August 26, 1971 in the ruins of Persepolis, where the Persian Shah commissioned multimedia artwork by French-Greek architect, mathematician and composer Iannis Xenakis was performed once and for all. This extraordinary experience consisted of military projectors, lasers, bonfires, hundred torch carrying children over mathematically composed music from six sound stations, had no visual record other than a few photos. 50 years later, with the help of virtual reality technology, it will be re-experienced as a six minute multi-user interactive point-cloud installation, based on a short story about the multi-dimensional cosmic experience Xenakis dreams of.
